Considering the increasing trend of digital payments in India, the Whatsapp app can also jump in now. The world’s most used instant messaging service Whatsapp is today to organize an event in Delhi today. It is expected that WhatsApp payment service can be launched in this event. However, no statement has been issued about it from the company, but the kind of reports it is coming from, it seems that the company can announce the launch or the important announcement regarding this.

Let’s say that WhatsApp’s Global Head Will Cathcart is on visit to India this week. This is his first visit to India. This week he took over this position. According to the reports, he will meet with the top officials of the Reserve Bank of India and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

There is also the possibility of presenting the policy commission’s head, Amitabh Kant, with Will Cathcart on Thursday. It is expected that both of them can make big announcements about Whatsapp, and the company can also announce some new plans for WhatsApp Pay.

However, no such statement has come from WhatsApp or neither from the Ministry, but in a statement given by the company spokesman, the company spokesperson said that Cathcart will negotiate with the government officials for supporting Digital India.
