Congress President Rahul Gandhi apologized to the statement of the Supreme Court after the verdict in the Rafael case and said the ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ statement Rahul Gandhi said that the zeal of the election campaign had said so. On April 15, the Supreme Court had directed Gandhi to clarify by April 22 on the contempt plea of BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi. Meenakshi Lekhi had requested for these comments to initiate contempt proceedings against Rahul Gandhi.
