Nitish Kumar’s JDU Opposes Triple Talaq Bill in Lok Sabha

Triple Talaq bill is being introduced on Thursday in the Monsoon session of the Lok Sabha. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is presenting three divorce bills in the Lok Sabha. Presenting three Divorce bills in the Lok Sabha, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that after the decision of the Supreme Court, I was feeling that such cases would be stopped but it did not happen. Ravi Shankar Prasad said that after the strong comments of the court and the law, the matter is not stayed and 574 cases have come and more than three hundred cases have come after the court’s fasal.

Ravi Shankar Prasad gave many examples from Newspapers. He said that if 20 Islamic countries of the world have made laws on divorce, then why can not it be made law in India? Law Minister said that we have accepted all the demands of the opposition and amended the bill. Union Minister told the Lok Sabha that 74 cases have so far been reported in UP in three cases. He said that I want to congratulate the UPA Government, who filed a charge sheet on such a matter and tried his best to stop such a matter. 

Union Minister said that this matter is about women’s justice. This matter is neither of any religion nor of caste nor of votes, this matter is only for women and only for women’s justice. I will urge the House to pass it by voice vote so that women of this country get justice.

Azam Khan Opposed

During the debate on the Triple Talaq Bill in the Lok Sabha, there was a ruckus on Azam Khan’s talk. He made a personal comment on the female speaker, Rama Devi. Ravi Shankar Prasad said that in the experience of his 19-year-old house, no member has behaved like this with any member sitting in the chair, especially with a woman member.

JDU Opposed the Bill

NDA’s ally JDU opposed the Triple Talaq bills. JDU leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh said that three divorce bills will create a sense of disbelief in the mind of a particular class of society. He said, “There is no need to do any work in haste. Can not decide the relationship between husband and wife by creating mutual law. No one will like divorce, you should create public awareness for that community instead of making the law.

Opposition fears slip of Vote Bank: Naqvi

Minority Welfare Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said in his speech on Triple Talaq Bill in the Lok Sabha that those people who are opposed to this bill should not argue on this, He also said that some people are afraid of slashing vote bank with the support of this bill, but this bill is in line with reform, not with your borrowing. They said, “Do not be in a misunderstanding that Triple Talaq bills will not be passed in the Rajya Sabha”.

Sudip Bandyopadhyay :We Oppose this kind of Bill

Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay said that he is not in the right of this bill. He said, “If you pass here, then the bill will have to face the difficulties in the Rajya Sabha. In this case, the bill should be sent to the Standing Committee.

BJP First make rules on Honor Killing : Kanimozhi

Opponents of the Triple Talaq bills, DMK MP Kanimozhi said why the central government is so quick to pass this bill. The bill can be sent to the country by sending this bill. So far, the central government has not done anything about women reservation. The women who come to the right of women will come with the first women reservation bill. Kanimozhi said that have you ever thought of bringing bills to Honor Killing? What law has so far made about Honor Killing? The BJP leader speaks of independence but today’s circumstances are such that there is no freedom of food in the country. 

Debate Between Meenakshi Lekhi and Akhilesh Yadav

During the Triple Talaq bills, there was a sharp debate between BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Meenakshi Lekhi attributed Akhilesh’s government to the rising cases of three divorce bills in UP. She said that in your government the Sharia courts continued, due to which the
Triple Talaq cases continued to increase. She said that you do not know how you were the Chief Minister. On this, Akhilesh demanded permission to speak to the Loksabha president while expressing objection but he was not allowed to speak.

Union Minister said that when we first came to the bill, there were some fears. All the bills related to the bill have been removed. Now the victim and his relatives can only do the case, the magistrate has given authority to Bell, but it can happen only after the victim’s hearing.

Bill Is not in favour of Muslims Men: NK Premchandran

Opposed the Triple Talaq Bill, NK Premchandran of Kerala said that this bill opposes the fundamental principles of Criminal Jurisprudence. This bill is the only way of victimizing Muslim men. He said that when the husband of the Triple Talaq was in jail, he would give alimony to the wife and children. He said that the decision of the Supreme Court is itself a law and therefore there is no need for legislation. This bill is not in the interests of women and men.

India has one Constitution: Meenakshi Lekhi

While discussing the Triple Talaq bills, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi said that even though a law of one’s own person runs within a house, but there is a single law outside the house that is the constitution of India. Meenakshi Lekhi attacking the Opposition that the opposition is worried about how Prime Minister Modi could be the beneficiary of Muslim women. She said that religious laws are wrong, there is a need to change this thinking. Lekhi said that Babasaheb also wanted to stop Hindu law and later he left the Congress due to this reason. Lekhi said that PM Modi is paying the price of being the Prime Minister of India, which Rajiv Gandhi did not pay after Nehru. Opposition believes that Hindu PM Modi can not be a brother of Muslim women.
