Amreli: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that his government has been able to limit terrorism to only “two-and-a-half” districts of Jammu and Kashmir and there was no bomb blast in any other part of the country in the last five years. PM Modi while addressing an election rally in Amreli, Gujarat, said that what he learned in Gujarat helped him in 2017 with the help of Khalil deadlock in China.
Referring to various cases of bomb blasts that occurred in the country earlier, he said, “There was no bomb blast in any other part of the country in the last five years. We have been able to limit terrorism to only two and a half districts of Jammu and Kashmir. “
Balakote Air Strike
On the statement of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan about attempting to contact India after Balakot air strikes, Modi said that the leader had to make a request to “publicly request us to carry the phone”.
Targeting the Congress-led governments in the country, he said that if Sardar Sarovar project had been completed 40 years ago, Gujarat would have been a very good place. Modi said that Congress won the lowest number of seats in 2014 after independence and in 2019 it is fighting for the lowest Lok Sabha seats, but still she is “dreaming” of becoming a ruling party.
He also said that the purpose of the highest statue of Sardar Patel built in Gujarat is not to disrespect the late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He said, “This is not an election rally for me, but it is a rally to thank the people of Gujarat for me because I have been born here.”
