Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed party MP from Chandauli Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey as the new president of Uttar Pradesh BJP. Amit Shah, the national president of the party, handed over the command of Uttar Pradesh to Mahendra Nath Pandey.
National General Secretary and head of the party, Arun Singh, on Thursday issued a letter saying that National President Amit Shah has appointed Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey as the state president. Their appointment will come into force with immediate effect.
MP Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey is also the Minister of State for Human Resource Development at the Center. Actually, the term of UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya was completed very long ago, but in the search for the new president, he was acting as the rightful person.
