The number of injured may increase in the accident.

East Delhi municipal commissioner Ranvir Singh said that the cause of the accident is what will be known only after the investigation. At present, his focus is on rescue operations. Earlier, the Delhi Fire Department had told that four people have been evacuated from under the leakage and they have been admitted to nearby Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. The department said that relief and rescue operations are in progress.
