After the Narendra Modi government came to power, 24 ancient and antique goods from abroad have been successful in bringing back their country. This information has been received under the RTI of the Archaeological Survey of India. This was made by a correspondent of the RTI PTI, after which the data came out. However, the Archaeological Survey of India could not disclose how the goods were taken out of the country.
These statues also include the statue of Sridevi in the time of Chola rulers and the statue of a woman of Terracotta of Mauryan period. Apart from this, these statues include one statue of Bahubali and Nataraja too
It has been revealed from RTI that 16 out of 24 antiques have been brought from the US, 5 from Australia and one from Canada, Germany and Singapore. Items brought back from America include Statue of Sridevi of Chola dynasty of Quilnadu and metal statue of Bahubali. According to RTI, since coming in power of PM Modi in 2014, till now till 2017, these countries have returned these antiquities to India with their will.
As per the Archaeological Survey of India, there are still 13 such antique objects of ancient times, which are yet to be brought to India from other countries including Switzerland. Some senior officials of the government have said that the Modi government is pushing for the return of antique goods to India, which were stolen from here and taken abroad.
