These days Hindi films have been shrouded in Uttar Pradesh. ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’, released last week, takes you to the rural area of Uttar Pradesh, then this week’s Bareilly Ki Barfi is set in UP’s Bareilly. This movie is inspired by the French book ‘The Ingredients of Love’. The story has been shifted to Bareilly from Paris. This film has been directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari who directed ‘Neil Butt Sanaata’ while written by Nitesh Tiwari (Director of Dangle) and Shreyas Jain.
Bitti Mishra (Kriti Sanyan) is a working girl, who likes breaking dance and English movies and even smoking. Because of this, she is unable to get married. Mother is troubled while the father hopes that something will happen. Once the story of ‘Bareli Ki Barfi’ is written by Bitti. The girl described in this story is exactly like a bitti. By reading this, Bitti wants to meet his writer Pritam Vidhoshi (Rajkumar Rao) and in this regard, the person from the printing press printed by Chirag Dubey (Ayushman Khurana) receives the letter.
Bitti does not know that this book is written by Chirag, but has given the name Pritam.Bitti does not know Pritam’s address. Chirag tells Bitti chitli to reach Pritam. He keeps the lamp with it and answers it by becoming Pritam. Bitti wants to feel like mind lamp. When the matter goes a long way, he calls Pritam to join Bitti. Prior to that, Chirag gives Pritam the training to make acrobat and colorful so that Bitti dislikes him.
This move of the lamp is reversed. Bitti seems to like Pritam. Being disturbed, the lamp makes all efforts to break this relationship.
There has been a lot of fluctuations in this story, but it is not necessary that every twist and turn will be good. There are some things weird in the story, why does not the lamp say that Bir has written ‘Bareli Ki Barfi’? Why is he afraid to express his love? After meeting Pritam, why does Bitti not ask how the character like him has been written, while asking for this, he was looking for it?
“>At the end of the film, there are answers to some questions, but in the second half, it bothers them while watching movies, due to which the viewers can not enjoy the film completely.
The story’s vulnerabilities covers the screenplay to some extent. It’s written in a very fun way. The first meeting of Pritam and Bitti, giving training to make Pritam as a dancer, Bitti’s father has many scenes like talking to the fan, who come after a short interval and keep on entertaining. Two scenes have been connected well. Dialogue plays a vital role in this matter. The tickling dialogues like ‘Dill got your throat, whistling someone else’s tears’, which are constantly listening to the audience. At the same time, the curiosity of this is that what will happen in the end?
Director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari in his presentation kept in mind that the film was light and entertaining. In the name of comedy, he has saved the film from being a ‘chip’.However, the story could be presented in a better manner. It was also possible that the raj was already opened for the audience. Ashwini found a good location and wore scenes well. The film slips in some places with them, but it soon comes on track.
Music is the minus point of the movie. One or two hit songs are required in such films. The editing of the film is loose and can be brought to pieces.
The film is rich in acting department. This is the best performance of Master Sainon. He caught the tone of UP well and played the role of Bindas Bitti well. Ayushman Khurana gave his hundred percent, though he was faced with an actor like Rajkumar Rao and in some scenes he would have faded in front of the prince. Rajkumar Rao performed the best way to transform a person from a nimble-stricken into a raging person. In the role of Bitti’s father, the selection of Pankaj Tripathi and the role of mother in the role of the mother was perfect.
If you are in the mood to watch light, romantic, and comedy, then it can be eaten ‘Bareilly Barfi’.
